STATE MEDICAL CANNABIS OVERVIEW
TheraTrue Virginia has applied for the Pharmaceutical Processor License for Health Service Area 1 (HSA1) in the Commonwealth of Virginia in November 2020. Medical Cannabis production and sales were granted under the pharmaceutical processor legislation passed during the 2016 Virginia General Assembly Session and subsequently enacted in 2017. TheraTrue is committed to using extensive research and cutting-edge technology to produce and safely deliver medical-grade cannabis products to patients in Virginia.
FACILITY
TheraTrue Virginia intends to locate its Pharmaceutical Processor Facility in Staunton, Virginia, to serve Health Service Area 1 (HSA 1). In collaboration with the City of Staunton, Shenandoah Valley Partnership, and local officials, TheraTrue Virginia seeks to expand the local economy and bring high-quality employment opportunities to Shenandoah Valley through the development of its state-of-the-art facility.
TEAM
TheraTrue Virginia has assembled a diverse, local team of business leaders and industry experts. TheraTrue Virginia has partnered with a group of ten African Americans in Virginia as investors and stakeholders, including Viola Baskerville and Ed McCoy.
Additionally, TheraTrue has selected Shantelle Brown, Pharm.D. to serve as the pharmacist-in-charge. Dr. Brown is an actively licensed pharmacist in Virginia and has over 17 years of experience in the pharmacy field, including extensive retail-facing pharmacy experience. The TheraTrue Virginia team will work closely with TheraTrue’s executive team and its out-of-state affiliates to refine best practices and continually innovate to serve Virginians best.
